How anthracite windows look on a house
Anthracite grey, often associated with the shade RAL 7016, works well with a light façade, concrete, and timber details. A dark frame emphasises the opening and gives a stronger contrast. Dust and water marks can show on a dark surface as well, so the colour should not be chosen only because you expect it to be easier to clean.
In a small, bright room a dark frame can become a prominent detail, while white stays quieter. If you want a dark outside and a light interior, two-tone windows let you separate those two decisions.
Three ways a window gets its colour
PVC with a decorative foil
On PVC windows the decorative foil is applied to the profile. The Danito range includes anthracite, golden oak, walnut, and other decors. The foil can be on the outside only, or on both sides, depending on the system and the combination available. For VEKA 70, GEALAN LINEAR 74MD, and VEKA 82MD, ask for the particular decor to be confirmed when the quote is prepared.
A wood effect imitates the grain and, on some foils, the texture of timber. It does not need periodic painting the way timber windows do, but the profile, the hardware, and the gaskets still need cleaning and proper maintenance.
Aluminium in a RAL colour
ALUMIL S67 and Schüco AWS 75.SI+ allow different finishes on aluminium. Powder coating can have a different gloss level or texture. Anodising is a separate process, not a type of RAL powder coating. Whether a shade and a finish are available is confirmed for the system chosen. The permitted sizes and sash weights depend on the profile, the glass, and the hardware.
Hybrid: aluminium on both sides, two RAL colours

What affects the price of anthracite windows and wood-effect windows
According to the public Danito price list checked on 4 October 2026, a white two-sash window of 140 × 140 cm is 265 € in VEKA 70 or GEALAN 74MD, and 355 € in VEKA 82MD. The amounts include VAT and exclude installation. On VEKA 82MD, triple glazing is standard. Colours and decors are given on request. The final quote depends on the configuration and the conditions on site.

- The type and availability of the foil, or of the aluminium finish.
- The profile system, the glazing, the hardware, and the opening style.

The rest of the opening in the same colour
The window, the roller shutter, and the external sill can be matched, or they can contrast on purpose. If you want the same colour, confirm the shade, the texture, and the gloss level for each element. The same colour code on a foil and on powder-coated aluminium does not have to look identical. What else to watch
- Sun and dark colours. Designing dark windows has to take account of heat build-up, the permitted sizes, and the reinforcement of the particular system. Ask for confirmation that the configuration chosen is intended for your opening and its position.
- A sample, not a screen. Anthracite on a phone and anthracite on a façade at 4 in the afternoon are not the same colour. Look at a profile sample in person, in daylight.
- The façade and the building. If you are replacing windows in a flat, check whether the building has rules about the appearance of the façade before you choose the external colour.
- Guarantee and maintenance. Danito states a 10-year guarantee on the profile, under the conditions of the guarantee certificate. Check what applies to the particular decor or finish, and how it should be cleaned.
