Frequently asked questions

Ask freely. We measure twice.

What customers ask most often about prices, systems, installation, and the guarantee on PVC and aluminium windows.

Prices and quotes

How much does a PVC window cost?

A single-casement window is from 102 € (VEKA 70 or GEALAN 74MD), and from 125 € for premium VEKA 82MD with triple glazing as standard. Example: a 100×100 cm window — 153 € (VEKA 70 / GEALAN 74MD) or 197 € (VEKA 82MD). Prices include VAT and exclude installation, for white. The exact price depends on size, opening style, glass, and colour — measuring and the quote are free: 013 36 77 00.

How much does an aluminium window cost?

For aluminium (ALUMIL S67 and Schüco AWS 75.SI+) and Hybrid, the price depends on size and configuration, so we give it on request and excluding installation — after free measuring at your address. ALUMIL is Greek. Schüco is German. We send an itemised quote within 48 hours: 013 36 77 00 or office@danito.rs.

What affects the price of a window?

Size, the way it opens, the number of sashes (an extra sash is +40 €, excluding installation), the glass (double or triple), colour or decor foil, and the total quantity. The most accurate route is to send the sizes or book free measuring.

Is measuring free?

Yes — measuring at your address is completely free, and we send an itemised quote within 48 hours. To book: 013 36 77 00 or office@danito.rs.

Is there a price calculator?

Yes. In the pricing section you enter the sizes and the system and get an indicative price straight away, with a table of the most common sizes.

Do you have special terms for distributors and contractors?

Yes. For distributors, contractors, investors, and installation firms we have a separate distributor price list (a discount according to volume and continuity), prices excluding installation, priority in production, technical support (workshop drawings, brochures, RAL charts), and delivery across Serbia. Contact: office@danito.rs or 013 36 77 00.

Products and systems

What is the difference between PVC and aluminium windows?

PVC gives the best thermal insulation for the price and is the usual choice for flats and houses. Aluminium (ALUMIL S67 or Schüco AWS 75.SI+, both with a thermal break) carries larger sashes over 150 kg, allows glazed walls up to 3 m high, lasts 50 years and more, and needs no maintenance. ALUMIL is Greek. Schüco is German. Hybrid has aluminium on both visible faces and a fully hidden PVC core for insulation.

What is a Hybrid window?

A Hybrid window is aluminium outside and inside. The PVC sits only in a fully hidden core and is nowhere visible. The outer and inner aluminium faces are always a RAL finish and can be two different RAL colours. We give the price on request and excluding installation, after free measuring.

VEKA 70, GEALAN 74MD, or VEKA 82MD — which system should I choose?

VEKA 70 (5 chambers) is a reliable standard. GEALAN LINEAR 74MD (6 chambers, centre seal) is the best balance of price and quality. VEKA 82MD (7 chambers, triple glazing as standard, Uw down to 0.76 W/m²K) is the premium choice for new builds and passive houses.

What glass do you fit?

Double or triple glazing to EN standards, down to Ug 0.5 W/m²K, with sound insulation up to 42 dB. On VEKA 82MD, triple glazing is standard.

Which colours and decors are available?

For PVC there are more than 40 decor foils — white, anthracite, golden oak, walnut, and others. Aluminium and Hybrid are finished in RAL. On a Hybrid window the outer and inner aluminium faces can be two different RAL colours. You can download the colour charts on the site (PDF). Prices are for white and exclude installation — for decor foils and RAL colours the price is on request. The RAL colour catalogue for Hybrid is on the site.

How secure are aluminium entrance doors?

They offer RC2/RC3 burglar resistance, an automatic lock, optional fingerprint unlocking, concealed hinges, and LED lighting. They are made up to 2.5 m high.

Do you make roller shutters, insect screens, and window boards?

Yes — roller shutters (manual and motorised, with a remote), insect screens (fixed, roller, pleated), window boards (PVC, aluminium, marble, granite), external sills, and Solomatik blinds. All made to measure and in the colour of the windows, fitted together with them. See accessories.

Installation and lead times

How long from order to installation?

Production in our workshop in Pančevo takes 3–4 weeks from confirmation of the quote. Because we manufacture ourselves, we control the lead time.

Who does the installation?

Our own crews — people employed by Danito. We install across Serbia, and the space is left clean afterwards.

Do you replace windows in an occupied flat?

Yes. Replacement is most often done in homes where people are living. We work opening by opening, protect the room while we work, and leave it clean the same day.

Guarantee and maintenance

What guarantee do you give?

The guarantee is 10 years. On the profile it covers colour fastness and geometry — the profile will not warp. On the hardware it is 10 years, or 10,000 openings. Service still answers after installation. Danito has made windows since 2005 — about 25,000 windows a year from a 3,500 m² workshop.

How long do PVC windows last?

The guarantee is 10 years, but that is not the service life. After that the profile still keeps its colour and geometry — the seals and the hardware wear first, and both can be replaced and adjusted without taking the window out of the wall. With PVC, what matters more is that the manufacturer is still there to service it. Danito has manufactured since 2005, from our own workshop in Pančevo.

Do PVC windows yellow?

Today’s PVC profiles are not the ones from the 1980s — they have UV stabilisers and do not yellow in the sun. Colour fastness is part of our 10-year guarantee, together with the profile not warping.

Guarantee or conformity — what is the difference?

Conformity is a statutory right of 2 years that you have against us as the seller, with no extra paperwork. The 10-year guarantee is a voluntary obligation we give on top of that, on the terms of the guarantee card. The guarantee does not reduce or replace statutory conformity. The full account, including how to make a complaint, is on Consumer rights.

Are timber or PVC windows better?

It depends on what matters to you. Timber needs painting and planing every few years. PVC needs washing and the hardware oiling once a year. Timber is the choice when appearance or the protection of a listed building is decisive. PVC is the choice when you are weighing insulation, price, and upkeep. For the look of timber without the upkeep there is a decor foil — more than 40 decors, including wood.

How do you look after PVC windows?

Very little — an occasional wash with a mild cleaner and water is enough for the profiles, and the hardware is oiled once a year. No painting and no planing, unlike timber. What you can check yourself before winter, and the hardware adjustment that belongs to the service team, is explained in adjusting PVC windows for winter and summer.

How do you look after aluminium windows?

Practically no maintenance — aluminium does not corrode, does not fade, and does not change geometry. That is why the aluminium systems — ALUMIL S67 and Schüco AWS 75.SI+ — last 50 years and more.
