Price with installation and without it
Two quotes, three hundred euros apart, and the windows look the same. Nine times out of ten the difference is not in the window. It is in what has been counted underneath it. Below is a table with both prices — excluding installation and including it — so you can see what sits where.
Our prices exclude installation — and that is stated everywhere
Every amount on this site, in the calculator, and in the price list includes VAT and excludes installation. It is done that way because installation cannot honestly be averaged: replacing a window in a ground-floor house and the same position on a sixth floor without a lift are not the same job.
We install with our own teams, and installation goes into the quote as a separate line, after measuring — once it is clear what is actually required.
If you want a concrete amount, we have worked out how much it costs to replace the windows in a flat, using a two-room flat, with installation charged per square metre.
What installation covers
- Removing the old windows and carrying them out
- Preparing the opening and setting the new position plumb and level
- Anchoring, foaming, and sealing the joint
- Fitting the external sill and the internal window board if they are in the quote
- Adjusting the hardware and trying every position
- Cleaning up and taking the waste away
Plastering and painting the reveals is, as a rule, not included in the price of installing the windows — not with us, and not with most firms. That is a job for a tradesperson who comes after us. How to compare two quotes
Before you compare the amounts, check that both quotes contain the same things:
- Whether VAT is included or added at the end
- Whether installation is included, and whether it covers removal and taking the old windows away
- Which system it is, and how many chambers — VEKA 70 and a seven-chamber profile are not the same product
- What the glazing is — double or triple, and which Ug
- Whether external sills, window boards, and roller shutters are included or appear as extras
- How long the guarantee is, and whether it covers the hardware, not only the profile
Price with installation, by size
We price the windows by position, and the installation by the square metre of the opening — 30 € per m². Added together, this is what “with installation” looks like on the most common openings:

The windows are VEKA 70 or GEALAN LINEAR 74MD, white, double glazing. On VEKA 82MD the glazing is triple, because that is the standard there. All prices include VAT. Installation is charged at 30 €/m² of opening and applies when several positions are replaced at once, which is the usual case. Plastering the reveals is not included.
The square-metre trick
A price per m² sounds clear, which is why adverts like it. The problem is that a window is not a carpet: a small window has a higher ratio of frame to glass, so its price per m² is always higher. The same price per m² on different sizes gives completely different amounts per position.
That is why we do not price by the square metre but by position — that is how the quote is charged, and that is how a difference cannot be hidden.

How much does a 100×120 PVC window cost with installation?
200 € including VAT — 164 € for the window in VEKA 70 or GEALAN LINEAR 74MD and 36 € for installation. The same position in VEKA 82MD is 253 €.
How much does window installation cost per square metre?
30 € per m² of opening. That includes removing and carrying out the old windows, installation and anchoring, sealing the joint, adjusting the hardware, and taking the waste away.
Is removal of the old windows included in the installation?
Yes. Plastering and painting the reveals is not. That is a job for a tradesperson who comes after us.
How much does it cost to replace a 140×140 window with installation?
324 € in VEKA 70 or GEALAN LINEAR 74MD, and 414 € in VEKA 82MD, including VAT.
